Intake covers (FOD) for the F-4 Phantom II 1:32 are a resin, 3D-printed set of air intake covers for the large model of this fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detailed 3D-printed resin set of intake duct covers (FOD covers) in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane kit but an accessory that follows exactly the intake geometry of one particular plastic F-4 Phantom II model in the large scale. In service the covers were fitted to a parked aircraft to keep foreign objects out of the engines (Foreign Object Damage).
Fitted covers give a model of a parked Phantom on the flight deck or on the apron an authentic look and at the same time neatly hide the intakes, which tend to be a problem area on models. They are usually done in a bright color with Remove Before Flight lettering.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate them from the print supports and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand with respiratory protection. We recommend a bold red finish and lettering refined from period photographs.
The set contains detail parts only and is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
