Heinkel He 111P – resin wing fuel tanks 1:32 for a faithful rendition of the self-sealing tanks in the wings of the German bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an airplane model, but a resin detail set from the Czech manufacturer CMK. It brings faithfully cast self-sealing fuel tanks for both wings of the He 111 bomber together with the filler necks, the covers and the visible internal structure of the wing once the panels are opened up. The set is intended for completing an injection-molded model of the Heinkel He 111P in 1:32 scale.
The Heinkel He 111 was a key German twin-engine bomber, and its He 111P version was distinguished by a glazed asymmetrical nose. The fuel tanks housed in the wings are among the details that can be exposed to good effect on a model with the service panels open, showing the internal structure of the wing.
Exposing the tanks calls for cutting the panels out of the wing of the model and fitting the resin parts to them; expect to fill the joints. Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
The set contains only resin accessory parts; the model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
