This is not an aircraft model but a resin conversion set from the Czech maker CMK. It lets you convert the basic bomber version of the Ju 88 into the Ju 88C heavy fighter and night fighter, characterized by a solid unglazed nose with armament. The set is intended to detail an injection-molded model of the Junkers Ju 88 in 1:32 scale.
The Ju 88C was the heavy fighter and night fighter version of the successful Junkers Ju 88. Instead of the glazed bombardier nose it received a solid metal-covered nose with concentrated gun armament, which proved itself on night sorties and in the long-range fighter role. That nose section is the main content of the conversion.
The conversion calls for cutting off the original nose of the model and fitting the resin part; expect some fitting, filling and sanding of the joint. Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks with a saw and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. This is a more demanding modification suited to experienced modelers.
The set holds resin add-on parts only; the model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
