This is NOT an airplane model but a resin detail set. It serves to replace the simplified landing gear bays in the walls of the plastic kit with faithfully worked-out bays with a cast structure of ribs, lines, hydraulics and wiring. It is intended for a particular F-104 kit in 1:32 scale; with other kits it need not fit without modification.
The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter was an American supersonic fighter and fighter-bomber with a characteristically slender fuselage and short straight wings with sharp leading edges. The G, J and S versions and the Canadian licensed CF-104 became the backbone of the armament of a number of NATO states. The landing gear bays of the Starfighter are fairly intricate on the real machine, so detailing them pays off for a faithful result.
Separate the parts from the casting blocks carefully, wash the mold release agent off them and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin. Before you close the fuselage, try a dry fit and adjust the seating if need be. The interior of the bays is painted separately before installation.
The set contains resin accessory parts. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
