This is not an airplane model but a small resin detail set from Quickboost. The part replaces the simplified plastic gunsight in the cockpit with a faithful replica of the period San Giorgio Tipo C gunsight as carried by the first production series of the Macchi C.205V Veltro fighter. 1:32 scale. The dimensions of the part match the cockpit of the Italeri kit.
The Macchi C.205 Veltro was an Italian fighter of the Second World War period, powered by a license-built engine derived from the German Daimler-Benz. It was among the best performing Italian fighters of its day. The San Giorgio Tipo C gunsight was a prominent feature in the cockpit, and on a model it stands out once it is replaced with a more faithful part.
Separate the small part carefully from the casting block, wash it free of the mold release agent and clean it up. Glue it with a small amount of cyanoacrylate. We recommend painting the gunsight before it is glued into the cockpit; the glass can be suggested with gloss varnish or a clear part.
