Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive masks from Eduard, meant for spraying the Italian national insignia on the wings of the Macchi MC.200 Saetta kit in 1:32 scale from Italeri. It is not a kit or an aircraft model but an accessory for a kit you already own. The masks are stuck onto the surface of the model, sprayed over with paint and, once they are lifted off, leave a crisply defined insignia worked into the paint.
The national insignia of the Regia Aeronautica of the time took the form on the wings of a stylized fascio (the fasces - a bundle of rods with an axe) in a light field; a colored version also appeared on the fuselage. The Savoy cross, by contrast, belonged on the rudder. The masks deal precisely with the wing insignia, that is the part of the markings that is most on show in the large 1:32 scale.
For modelers who are building the Saetta in 1:32 and want the markings to look sprayed on a real aircraft rather than stuck on. It will be appreciated above all by those who finish a model in matte or plan heavier weathering and chipping - a sprayed insignia can be sanded and rubbed through exactly like the surrounding camouflage. Basic experience with an airbrush is helpful.
An accessory for spraying markings; it is not a model. A kit, paints and decals are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
