This is a 3D printed kit for experienced modelers, which captures the munitions loader used at military airfields. This variant has the lifting platform folded down, that is in the state in which the truck is only just picking the load up from the ground or setting it down on the ground.

What the truck serves for at an airfield

A loader of this type brings bombs, rockets and pylons to the aircraft and lifts them precisely up to the pylon, so that the crew can secure them. Without it modern aircraft armament could not sensibly be hung at all. In a scene it therefore immediately gives away that a combat flight is being prepared, and it fills the space under the wing of a large model well.

Working with printed parts

Wash the parts, remove the remains of the print supports and level the areas left by them with fine sandpaper, with respiratory protection. Deal with the joints using cyanoacrylate glue applied in a small amount. Thin rods and levers break easily, so handle them with tweezers. Before painting apply a primer coat, which will unify the surface and bring out the edges. Prepare the load set down under the truck separately, so that the scene gets a clear story.
