An injection-molded plastic kit of the Podracer with which Anakin Skywalker wins the race in the film Star Wars: Episode I, The Phantom Menace. The model from AMT is supplied unassembled and unpainted; a figure of Anakin, a display base and sheets of water-slide decals are included.
The Podracer consists of an open cockpit pulled by two massive jet engines joined by energy beams. In the desert race on the planet Tatooine it is one of the fastest machines and it became one of the icons of the first episode.
Join the parts with liquid cement for plastic, fill the seams and sand them down. Apply a primer before painting; the metallic and heat-tinted shades of the engines come out best with an airbrush and can be picked out with a wash and a dry brush. Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
