UB-32A-73 rocket launchers 1:32, four pieces from Reskit: printed pods of unguided rockets for Soviet aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of four rocket launchers produced by three-dimensional printing in 1:32 scale. The UB-32 is a Soviet pod of 57 mm unguided rockets that was hung under the wing or the fuselage of attack and ground-attack aircraft. Printed production makes more sense here than anywhere else: the pod has 32 tubes whose mouths have to be genuinely drilled out and evenly spaced, and that is exactly what injection-molded plastic cannot manage at this scale.
The UB-32 launcher was among the most widespread armament of Soviet combat aircraft and helicopters. It was used on the Su and MiG families and turned up essentially everywhere Soviet hardware reached. Unguided rockets were a cheap and simple weapon against ground targets, and a mass launch covered a large area, so the emphasis fell on the number of tubes rather than on accuracy.
Printed parts have no casting blocks but thin carrier supports, which you cut away with a sharp knife before sanding the marks down. They are glued with cyanoacrylate. Lay down a primer before painting, because paint will not otherwise hold on the smooth printed surface. Leave the mouths of the tubes darker than the casing and dirty them lightly, because they stay sooted after firing, which is one of the first things visible in photographs.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted and it is an accessory, not a kit. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
