MH Models Yak-3 vacuum-formed canopy 1:32 (open)

A clear accessory for plastic models of the Soviet Yakovlev Yak-3 fighter in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft model, but a replacement vacuum-formed (vacuform) cockpit canopy, this time in the variant that allows an open position. Glass thinner and more transparent than the usual injection-molded part comes into its own especially with the canopy slid back, when the cockpit can be seen. A mask for painting the frames is usually included.

Use

• cut the drawn part out carefully around the edge and sand the edges to the final shape
• bond with super glue or with a glue for clear parts that does not fog the transparent areas
• paint the frames with the help of the enclosed mask for clean edges
• the open position lets the details of the cockpit stand out

For more advanced modelers building the Yak-3 in 1:32 scale who want to show the cockpit with the canopy slid back and a truer thin-walled hood.
