A resin diorama base from the Italian maker Royal Model. It consists of a relief surface with a stretch of wall, on which a figure, a vehicle or a small scene can be placed. In its proportions it is worked out for 1:35 and 1:32 scale alike. It is NOT a kit but a finished scenic base to be completed.
The base gives a model a setting and a background for the composition; the stretch of wall creates a natural frame for a vignette and a point of support for a figure or a vehicle. The relief of the masonry, the render and the paving allows realistic painting, weathering and the planting of vegetation. It suits a quick basis for a competition vignette and a part of a larger scene alike.
Wash the casting clean of the remains of mold release agent and sand off the casting residue. Go over the surface with a filler primer and paint with an airbrush and a brush alike; bring the textures out with washes, drybrushing and pigments. Bring the corners to life with static grass, moss or small rubble; the base can be seated into a wooden plinth. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
The base is supplied unpainted; figures, vehicles, paints and vegetation are not included in the package.
