10.5cm StuH.42 Ausf.E/F 1:35 from the maker Dragon is a plastic kit of the German assault howitzer of the Second World War.

A detailed plastic kit of the German self-propelled assault gun StuH.42 in 1:35 scale from the firm Dragon, laid out as a so-called Smart Kit. The model grows out of the proven StuG III series, but it brings a newly shaped roof and a fighting compartment matching the howitzer version. The package holds photo-etched parts and decals. The front fenders are made of photo-etched sheet for the highest fidelity.
The StuH.42 (Sturmhaubitze 42) arose to support infantry and armored units with a gun of larger caliber and higher destructive power. The vehicles used the StuG III chassis in the Ausf.E/F versions, into which a howitzer of 10.5 cm caliber was built. Alkett made the first examples in the fall of 1942. The low silhouette without a rotating turret made the vehicle a difficult target and at the same time effective fire support.
Finish the running gear and the interior of the fighting compartment first, before you close the hull. Glue the plastic with a thin cement and the fine photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. After a coat of primer and the base shade it is worth accenting the details with washes and with pigments for mud and dust effects. Finish the paint and the patina of the tracks and the road wheels separately.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
