An injection-molded plastic kit of a heavy tank transporter with a capacity of 50 tons in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Trumpeter. The rig consists of a towing vehicle and a multi-axle semitrailer intended to carry main battle tanks and other heavy vehicles. The model offers an extensive, broken-up build.
It is a Chinese heavy transporter rig, developed to move tanks and large armored vehicles by road. The towing vehicle with drive on several axles pulls a sturdy multi-axle semitrailer with a loading ramp. This category of vehicle is crucial for the logistics of armored units, which are moved over long distances on transporters exactly so that their own tracked running gear is spared.
The rig contains a great many parts, so work patiently and in sections (the cab, the chassis of the tractor, the semitrailer). The large area of the loading deck comes out well with a flat coat from an airbrush and restrained weathering. The model can be completed strikingly with a tank loaded from another kit for an impressive diorama.
