A large injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary AH-64A Apache attack helicopter in its late production form. In the large 1:35 scale it offers a richly detailed surface, a detailed cockpit and rotor head, and photo-etched parts are included in the box as well. The model belongs among the large and detailed kits for more demanding builders. Treat the stated contents of the box as approximate.
The AH-64 Apache is the main attack helicopter of the American army, designed to destroy tanks and armored vehicles and to give direct fire support to ground forces. It carries anti-tank guided missiles, unguided rockets and a turreted cannon under the nose, and it has advanced sensors for combat at night as well. The AH-64A version is the original production form, and the late machines differed in details of equipment.
Given its size and part count, this is a build for several evenings. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and seat the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Assemble and paint the cockpit interior and the external stores separately. A primer and an airbrush are the way to go; the dark green finish stands out with panel highlighting, dust and mud effects on the landing gear and subtle weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
