This is a photo-etched brass detail set from the Polish brand Aber in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit but a universal set of photo-etched ammunition belts for .30 and .50 caliber (Browning) machine guns, of the kind that appear on a great many Allied armored and wheeled vehicles and their mounts. The set provides faithful, naturally curved belts, which look stiff in plastic.
Ammunition belts complete the combat atmosphere at machine gun positions, on turrets and in stowed ammunition boxes. The photo-etched parts make it possible to curve a belt realistically, to thread it through a weapon or to let it drape into a box, which a stiff plastic part does not allow. The universal set is therefore usable across many models.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife, form the belts carefully with tweezers into a natural sag and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer; a brass tone suits the faithful look of the cases in the final painting.
This is an accessory for detailing, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
