An injection-molded plastic kit of the British tracked Loyd Carrier together with a 6-pounder anti-tank gun, in 1:35 scale from Bronco. The box holds plastic parts and photo-etched additions. The set combines a light tracked vehicle with a separately built gun, so the result is a small artillery scene suited to a diorama as well.
The Loyd Carrier was a British light tracked carrier of the Second World War, designed above all as an artillery tractor and transporter. The vehicle was unarmored and unarmed, built from components of contemporary trucks, and served among other things to tow anti-tank guns. The 6-pounder gun (57 mm) was the standard British anti-tank weapon of the middle part of the war, effective against the German tanks of the day.
Build the carrier and the gun as two separate assemblies and join them only after the base coat. First finish the running gear and the floor of the body, then build up the sides. Glue the plastic with liquid cement and bend the photo-etched parts over an edge. Apply a primer and spray the British shade; bring the wooden and canvas items to life with shades and filters. Create mud and dust on the tracks and the carriage with pigments and washes.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
