A large plastic kit of the American twin-rotor transport helicopter CH-47A Chinook in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The model combines injection-molded plastic with extra parts and at this scale makes an exceptionally sizable and imposing piece.
The CH-47 Chinook is a heavy transport helicopter with its characteristic layout of two tandem rotors. The CH-47A version was the first production variant and served to carry troops, equipment and supplies. Thanks to its large cargo hold and payload it became one of the longest-used helicopters of its kind.
On a sizable model, take care over firm bonding of the fuselage and the rotor heads; use thin cement for plastic. The interior of the cargo hold comes into its own with the ramp open. We recommend a primer, an airbrush and an emphasis on the panel lines; washes and fine shading will add the look of service wear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
