A plastic kit of the American Dodge WC-62/63 army truck in 1:35 scale from Italeri. It is the six-wheeled (6x6) variant of the famous Dodge WC series of three-quarter-ton trucks; the WC-62/63, however, received three axles and a lengthened cargo body, so it could carry more load and more men.
The model is an injection-molded plastic kit. The cargo body with a removable tarpaulin makes it possible to show the load bed with its equipment. The exact number of parts, the photo-etched content and the decal schemes are stated on the box of the particular release. The WC-63 version differed from the WC-62 in having a winch at the front.
The chassis with its three axles and all-wheel drive deserves attention: assemble and align it carefully. Use a thin cement on the plastic, sand the joints and fill the seams. Add the tarpaulin and the small accessories (tools, spare wheel, any load bed equipment) only after the basic painting, so that the inside of the load bed can be painted properly as well.
