An injection-molded plastic kit of the T-50 light tank in the form in which it served with the Finnish army, in 1:35 scale. It is one of the rarest subjects that can be built in this scale, because very few of the vehicles themselves were made and only a fraction of them reached Finnish service.
The T-50 appeared at the end of the 1930s as the successor to the numerous light tanks that were no longer a match for modern opponents. It received sloped armor, torsion bar suspension and a three-man turret with a commander's cupola, a layout that was ahead of most light machines of the day. Production, however, only got going after the fighting broke out, it competed with more urgent types and was soon stopped, so very few vehicles were built. A few examples were captured by the Finnish army, which took them into service.
Finish and paint the running gear before you attach the side skirts. Finnish vehicles carried their own three-tone camouflage with bold fields, which comes out best with masking. Captured equipment tended to be worn and poorly maintained, so chipping on the edges and dust in the running gear are in place. The Finnish marking is prominent on the model, so seat the decals on a gloss coat and with a decal softener.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
