The box contains injection-molded plastic parts, photo-etched parts, clear plastic and a decal sheet; the tracks are of the link-and-length type.
The FV103 Spartan belongs to the British family of light tracked reconnaissance and armored vehicles CVR(T) with welded aluminum armor, notable for their low weight and good cross-country mobility. The Spartan serves as an armored personnel carrier for a small section, typically with its crew and a few embarked soldiers. Vehicles of this family were in British army service for decades and a number of them also passed into the hands of other operators; the version with additional armor reflects later combat deployment.
On an armored vehicle we recommend assembling and fine-tuning the running gear and any interior before the hull is closed up. Glue the plastic parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic, apply a primer before painting and spray with an airbrush. At the end, bring the surface to life with washes and pigments for mud and dust effects and pick out the scuffed armor.
