A plastic kit of the Soviet truck GAZ-MM mod. 1943 in 1:35 scale from MiniArt. An injection-molded model of the wartime simplified one-and-a-half-tonner.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit captures the Soviet GAZ-MM mod. 1943 truck in 1:35 scale. The box contains parts in hard plastic with a well worked-out chassis, engine and cab. The set is typical of MiniArt in its high level of detail and it also offers crew figures.
The GAZ-MM was a general-purpose light truck derived from the GAZ-AA type, the Soviet licensed version of the Ford. The 1943 form represents the wartime simplified version, in which a number of features were reduced because of shortages of material and components, for example the wooden cab and simpler fenders. The vehicle, with a load capacity of around one and a half tons, was one of the pillars of Soviet logistics.
The set contains fine parts, so work patiently from the chassis and the engine toward the cab. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement, apply a primer and spray with an airbrush. The wooden elements of the cab and the cargo bed come out well with layering and glazes. Fine-tune the weathering and the mud with washes and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
