An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern German armored bridgelayer Iguana (Leguan) in the PSB-2-28(m) build, in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. The model is based on the chassis of the Leopard 2 tank and depicts the vehicle laying a long bridging structure. The set contains a great many finely detailed parts, a multi-part molded hull, rubber tracks and photo-etched parts.
The Iguana (Leguan in German) is a bridging system on the Leopard 2 chassis that engineer units use to cross obstacles and watercourses quickly. The PSB-2-28 build lays a longer bridge structure assembled from overlapping sections. The vehicle is the modern equivalent of older bridgelayers and replaces the previous generation of equipment.
First assemble and paint the running gear and the lower hull, and only then fit the bridge superstructure, whose mechanism is best finished separately. The rubber tracks and the photo-etched parts call for different glues: modeling cement for the tracks and super glue for the photo-etch. Apply the base with an airbrush; bring out the modern NATO camouflage with washes and fine pigments for dust.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
