Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German R-12 heavy motorcycle in 1:35 scale from Zvezda. Besides the machine itself, the set contains figures, a rider in the saddle and a second figure, so a small genre scene can be created. It is based on the German BMW R12 heavy motorcycle used during the Second World War.
The R-12 (BMW R12) was, after 1938, the standard heavy motorcycle of the German Wehrmacht in solo form. It was powered by a flat-twin engine of around 18 horsepower and the machine reached speeds of up to 100 km/h. It was used mainly for liaison, courier and reconnaissance work and by the field gendarmerie. It was a reliable and widespread type that complemented the better-known sidecar motorcycles.
Motorcycles are small and finely broken up, so work carefully on the frame, the engine and the handlebars. Chromed and glossy surfaces come out best under a gloss coat, while matte parts are airbrushed once the primer is on. Paint the figures separately (face, uniform, gear) and attach them to the motorcycle only at the end. Use thin modeling cement on the plastic. A fine wash will bring out the detail of the engine, and you complete the dirt on the lower areas with pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
