A plastic kit in 1:35 scale from the brand RYE FIELD MODEL. The real subject is the German Type 82E staff car, that is a body of civilian type set on a cross-country chassis. The manufacturer supplies the kit with a full interior, so the model has a well worked-out crew compartment and engine section. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Type 82E came about by combining the body of the pre-war people's car with the chassis and drivetrain of the cross-country Kübelwagen. The result was a vehicle that looked civilian from the outside but had a higher ground clearance and better cross-country ability, and for that reason it was used as a staff and liaison vehicle. Only a few hundred were built, so this is a rewarding and at the same time less usual subject.
A full interior means that the order of the build matters: finish and paint the inside first, and only then close the body up. Small vehicles expose every shortcoming of the surface, so sand the joints carefully and apply the finish in thin coats. Choose the dark yellow or the gray according to the period you are building. Dust and mud in the wheel arches and on the underside of the vehicle give the model its scale.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
