MiniArt 1:35 Jagdpanzer SU-85(r) is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet tank destroyer as a captured vehicle in Wehrmacht service.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet SU-85 tank destroyer in 1:35 scale from MiniArt, in the form of a captured vehicle used by the German army, which is what the (r) in the designation refers to. The model captures the low casemate on a chassis derived from the T-34 tank, the long gun and the running gear with its large road wheels. The box tends to be rich in small parts and photo-etched details and it contains crew figures as well, unless stated otherwise.
The SU-85 was a Soviet tank destroyer of the Second World War built on the proven chassis of the T-34 medium tank. It carried an 85 mm gun in a fixed casemate, with which it could engage German tanks at longer range, and it was produced in 1943 and 1944. A number of these vehicles fell into German hands and after being re-marked were used against their original owners; it is exactly such captured vehicles that the model represents.
Assemble and test-fit the running gear and the internal elements before you close up the hull. Separate the many small parts with a sharp knife, glue the joints with thin cement for plastic and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate. Lay the base coat on over primer with an airbrush; washes and dust pigments emphasizing the armor, the running gear and the details will bring the German markings and camouflage to life.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
