This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale represents the Japanese wheeled reconnaissance vehicle Type 87 of the Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF). The package contains sprues of gray plastic, a well detailed exterior, metal axle shafts and a photo-etched part for the fine surface detail. Decals and assembly instructions are included.
The Type 87 is a wheeled armored reconnaissance vehicle of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force taken into service in 1987. It carries a 25 mm cannon in the turret and serves for reconnaissance and patrol work. The six-wheeled chassis gives it good mobility across country and on roads alike.
The metal axle shafts make it easier to seat the wheels firmly. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement and attach the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Treat the surface with a base coat and paint with an airbrush; bring out the wheels and the lower hull with washes and pigments for dust effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
