Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet JS-2 heavy tank in 1:35 scale from Tamiya. The model faithfully captures the massive cast shape of the hull and the turret and the prominent long gun. The kit offers well worked-out detail on the running gear and is a rewarding basis for practicing weathering and battle wear.
The JS-2 heavy tank (IS-2 in Russian, named after Joseph Stalin) entered service in 1944. It was armed with a massive 122 mm gun and heavily armored, thanks to which it could destroy even the heaviest German tanks. It was used in the closing operations on the Eastern Front all the way to the capture of Berlin and became a symbol of Soviet armored strength.
Finish the running gear before you close the hull up. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic, and after a primer filler lay the Soviet green on with an airbrush. Pick out the cast surface of the armor with a dark wash and create dust and mud effects with pigments on the running gear and the lower hull.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
