This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale from MiniArt represents the German light Kfz.1 troop carrier of the 170VK type, built on the Mercedes-Benz 170VK chassis. The kit offers a full engine and a well worked out interior; the hood and the rear doors of the crew compartment can be modeled open, so the internal layout of the vehicle comes into view. In the box there are photo-etched parts for fine, thin elements and decals for several marking options.
The Mercedes-Benz 170VK was a light off-road passenger and transport car derived from the civil 170V type and adapted to the needs of the Wehrmacht. Vehicles in the Kfz.1 category served as light staff and transport vehicles for carrying troops and for liaison duties. An open body and simple construction made them versatile support vehicles of the Second World War.
First assemble and paint the engine, the chassis and the interior, and only then close the body up. Use liquid modeling cement on the plastic, spray the parts with a primer and paint with an airbrush. Glue the fine photo-etched parts with super glue; bring the chassis and the lower areas to life with washes and pigments for dust and mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
