An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Kfz.1 light off-road vehicle on the Mercedes-Benz Type 170VK chassis in 1:35 scale from MiniArt. The model follows on from the popular MiniArt family derived from the civilian Mercedes 170V and offers fine detail supplemented with photo-etched parts and a decal sheet.
The Kfz.1 Type 170VK was a light off-road car of the German Wehrmacht, derived from the civilian Mercedes-Benz 170V and adapted for front-line service. It served as a liaison and command car and to carry small groups of soldiers and messengers across varied terrain. The vehicle had seats for several soldiers and was often fitted with a canvas top.
Finish the chassis, the engine and the interior first and only then close the body. Glue the fine photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and use liquid modeling cement on the plastic joints. Airbrush the vehicle in the appropriate period shade, pick out the panel and shadow lines with a wash and add dust and mud pigments for field weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
