Responsibility details are not available.
A detailed injection-molded plastic kit of the German light Kfz.2 communications car on the Mercedes-Benz Type 170VK chassis in 1:35 scale from the Ukrainian maker MiniArt. The new tool builds on the proven Mercedes 170V range and brings fine parts, a well worked out interior and engine compartment and photo-etched accessories. The kit also holds decals for several marking options.
The Kfz.2 was a light communications car used by the Wehrmacht during the Second World War. The open body with a folding canvas roof allowed quick entry and exit in the field, and the 4x2 drive and a dependable engine of roughly 1.7 liters suited made-up roads and lighter terrain. The vehicle was usually fitted with a radio set and an antenna and served as a mobile signals node with staffs and reconnaissance units.
Finish and paint the interior and the engine compartment before closing the body up, as they are clearly visible on an open car. Glue the photo-etched parts with super glue and the plastic with liquid cement for plastic. Lay a primer, then the Panzergrau or Dunkelgelb shade according to the period and the unit. Fine-tune the weathering with a wash into the recesses and with pigments on the wheels and the chassis.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
