The M198 is an American medium towed howitzer of 155 mm caliber introduced at the end of the 1970s, which replaced the older guns of the same caliber with the army and the marines. It is notable for its fairly long range and for the speed with which it can be brought into a firing position. The early and the later service forms differ in small details of the equipment, and this particular kit corresponds to the earlier one.
Pay attention to the carriage and to the trail spreading mechanism so that the model stands firmly in both positions. Glue the plastic with a liquid cement for plastic models, degrease the metal barrel before spraying and use a primer. Apply the final shade with an airbrush and bring out the details with washes and dust pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
