The model contains plastic parts, photo-etched details and a metal barrel, and according to the instructions it can be built in the firing or in the travel position. The kit is meant to be assembled and painted.
The M198 is an American 155 mm medium towed howitzer introduced at the end of the 1970s and used for many years by both the Army and the Marine Corps. It stands out for its long range and its ability to be brought into action quickly. The late form reflects the shape of the gun after the changes made during its service and differs from the early version in details of the equipment, which this kit matches.
Assemble the gun carriage and the trails carefully so that the model stands firmly in both positions. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement, degrease the metal barrel before spraying, lay down a primer and apply the final shade with an airbrush. Washes in the recesses and dust pigments will finish the weathering off.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
