Injection-molded plastic kit model of the American M9 ACE armored combat engineer dozer (Armored Combat Earthmover) in 1:35 scale from Takom. It is a detailed model based on measurements of the real vehicle. The box offers a movable dozer blade, a movable ejector mechanism in the bowl, workable individual track links and openable hatches. The decals supplied make it possible to build the vehicle in several marking options of various armies.
The M9 ACE is a highly mobile armored engineer machine of the US Army used by combat engineers. It serves for digging, moving earth, building defensive positions, fills and breaches and for preparing firing positions. The armored hull protects the crew and the machine is fast enough to accompany armored units. It thus combines the abilities of a construction machine with the toughness of a combat vehicle.
With this type it pays to assemble and paint the running gear before the hull is finished, so that the wheels and the tracks are easy to reach. Clean the mold marks off the workable tracks and leave them flexible. Lay down a good base coat (primer) before painting and spray the base shade with an airbrush. Because this is an earthmoving machine, pronounced effects of mud, dust and chipped paint will show to advantage on it - use washes, pigments and a dry brush, above all on the dozer blade and the lower hull.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
