An injection-molded plastic kit of the heavy army tractor M983A2 HEMTT with the M870A1 lowbed transport semi-trailer in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. From one box you therefore build a complete transport rig. According to the manufacturer it contains photo-etched parts and hollow rubber tires; it is a large multi-part model for a display case or a diorama.
The M983 HEMTT is an American heavy truck of the HEMTT family with four axles and 8x8 all-wheel drive, used for a range of tasks, from towing rocket systems to carrying equipment. In the tractor version it pulls the M870A1 lowbed transport semi-trailer intended for carrying armored and construction vehicles. Behind the cab there is usually a winch for loading the cargo onto the semi-trailer. HEMTT vehicles form the backbone of the logistics of the US Army and of a number of allies.
Use thin cement for plastic and work in subassemblies; finish and paint the cab interior and the chassis before you close them in. Glue the photo-etched parts with super glue. Apply a primer before painting and spray with an airbrush. On military trucks a patina of washes and dust pigments works well, especially on the chassis, the tires and the load bed of the semi-trailer.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
