An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Panzer III medium tank in the Ausf.N version in 1:35 scale from Takom. The set contains the side armor skirts (Schürzen), photo-etched parts and decals for several color options. The engineering is precisely worked out with a good fit of the parts.
The Panzer III Ausf.N was the support version armed with the short 7.5 cm KwK 37 L/24 gun taken over from the early Panzer IVs. It was built in 1942 and 1943 and was meant to supplement the heavier tanks with fire against soft targets and infantry. The side skirts protected the running gear and the hull from anti-tank rifles and shaped-charge ammunition.
Assemble and paint the running gear and the road wheels before closing the hull. The photo-etched parts will seat more accurately with cyanoacrylate glue. Use washes and pigments for the weathering - mud and dust effects will pick out the tracks and the lower parts. Use primer and an airbrush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
