An injection-molded plastic kit of the Chinese ZTZ96B main battle tank in 1:35 scale from Meng. The model is richly detailed, holds photo-etched parts and a working sprung running gear with metal items. It offers several variants of the subject.
The ZTZ96B is a modernized version of the Chinese Type 96 series main battle tank, operated by the Chinese People's Liberation Army. The vehicle follows a proven concept but brings improved mobility, protection and a fire control system. It became known among other things for taking part in international tank competitions.
Work up and paint the running gear and the lower hull before closing it up. The movable tracks and suspension make it possible to seat the model on broken ground. For faithful weathering use washes and pigments to evoke mud and dust effects, and bring out the cabling and the details with a dry brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
