This injection-molded plastic kit captures the Chinese light tank Type 62 of the army of the People's Republic of China. The model in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter contains richly broken down parts, a photo-etched part and wire, and offers a faithful rendering of the hull, the turret and the running gear.
The Type 62 is a Chinese light tank whose design follows on from the Type 59 tank, itself derived from the Soviet T-54. It was lightened and reduced in size for use in broken and less accessible terrain. The vehicle spread through Asia and other regions and was used in a number of conflicts.
Assemble and fine-tune the running gear and the tracks before you finish the hull; glue the photo-etched part with cyanoacrylate glue. Join the plastic with a liquid modeling cement, apply a primer and spray the shades with an airbrush. Finish the surface with washes and pigments for dust and mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
