Eleven resin castings of transport crates for 1:35 scale. An accessory with which empty spots in a scene are filled and the scene gains a supply story.
Responsibility details are not available.
A depot, a railway station or the area behind the line looks unfinished without crates stacked up. A load carries information that no figure can convey on its own: where the things came from, where they are to go and whether they are being handled right now. A crate set to one side and opened tells a different story from a tidy stack ready to be hauled away, and it is from details like that that a believable scene is built.
The package consists of eleven parts in cast resin. The castings are separated from the pour residue with a fine-toothed saw, and once cleaned in lukewarm soapy water they are ready for painting. The smaller number of parts is rather an advantage here, because stacked crates are built up in groups anyway and individual pieces are partly hidden in a pile.
Wood is painted by applying thin vertical strokes of a slightly lighter and darker tone over the base shade, so as to tell the individual planks apart. Lettering is added by the builder from his own stock of decals or applied by hand. The dimensions follow 1:35 scale. Place the load so that it hides the joins of the base and the corners of the groundwork, where finishing tends to be hardest and where any bulky object helps.
