An injection-molded plastic kit of the German light tank Pz.Kpfw.II Ausf.C with add-on armor (mit Zusatzpanzer) in 1:35 scale from Dragon. The model faithfully captures the thickened frontal surfaces of the turret and the hull (Zusatzpanzer) as well as the spaced armor over the nose (Vorpanzer). The box holds photo-etched parts, individual Magic Track links and metal wire for the fine details.
The Pz.Kpfw.II was a light tank that formed the backbone of the German armored forces at the beginning of the war. The Ausf.C version was the standard production configuration and took part in the campaigns in Poland, France, the Balkans, North Africa and the Soviet Union. After the Polish campaign the vehicles were fitted with add-on armor for better protection. The main armament was a 2 cm automatic cannon and a machine gun.
Glue the parts and the track links with liquid cement for plastic and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Finish and paint the running gear and the tracks before closing up the hull. We recommend a primer and an airbrush; emphasize the plate add-on armor with a wash in the joints and the rivets and apply pigments to the running gear for dust and mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
