A plastic kit of the early German medium tank Pz.Kpfw.III in the Ausf.D/B form in 1:35 scale from MiniArt. Besides the vehicle itself the package holds tank crew figures, photo-etched parts, clear parts and individual link tracks. The model has a well worked-out turret interior and openable hatches, so it comes into its own with the compartments exposed.
The Pz.Kpfw.III was one of the mainstays of the German armored forces at the beginning of the Second World War. The early versions of the Ausf.B and Ausf.D series were pre-production and early production machines that differed in their running gear and in details of the hull from the later, widely built variants. It is precisely these early tanks that make a rewarding subject for models of the prewar and early war period.
Finish the running gear and the turret interior first, and only then close the hull up. Assemble the individual link tracks and let them sag naturally. Spray the vehicle with an airbrush, bring out the panel lines with a wash and finish the surface with dust and mud pigments. The crew figures complete the overall scene.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
