Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic model of the German medium tank Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.G in 1:35 scale from Dragon, in the configuration of spring 1943 production. It is an earlier variant than the later Ausf.H. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; for the exact package contents follow the enclosed instructions.
The Ausf.G was a transitional variant in which the Panzer IV matured from a support tank into a full combat machine. It introduced the long 75 mm KwK 40 gun, first in the L/43 form and later the L/48, which considerably raised its penetration against Allied tanks. Add-on armor plates were gradually added, and on the later examples side skirts as well. Compared with the later Ausf.H it had more lightly built frontal armor.
Finish the running gear and the lower hull first. Give attention to the muzzle brake and the long barrel, which are the hallmarks of this version. Spray the base coat over a primer; for 1943 a dark yellow with patches of green and brown applied with an airbrush is appropriate. Washes will pick out the rivets and the welds, and pigments and a dry brush will add mud and dust effects and bare worn metal.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
