The MSTA-S (2S19) is a Soviet and Russian self-propelled howitzer of 152 mm caliber, which entered service at the end of the 1980s as a successor to older self-propelled artillery. It combines a tracked chassis derived from tank technology with a rotating turret carrying a long barrel. It can fire various types of ammunition to ranges of tens of kilometers and is among the backbone of Russian self-propelled artillery; it serves in other armies as well.
First assemble and paint the running gear and the tracks, and only then finish the hull and the turret. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic. The long gun barrel is the dominant feature — take care over its alignment. After a coat of primer and varnish, bring out the panel lines with a wash and add dust and mud weathering with pigments on the lower hull and the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
