A highly detailed kit of the Russian combat vehicle of the Pantsir-S1 air defense system in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. It is an injection-molded plastic model with a large number of parts, a complete drivetrain, a finely made cab using multi-directional slide molds and photo-etched parts. This variant carries the antenna of the S-band radar.
The Pantsir-S1, known in NATO designation as the SA-22 Greyhound, is a modern Russian short to medium range air defense missile and gun system. It combines anti-aircraft guns and guided missiles on a single wheeled chassis and serves to protect installations and units. The form with the S-band radar increases the range at which targets can be found.
Given the number of parts, work in sections and finish the drivetrain and the chassis first. Use thin cement on the joints and glue the fine photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the large surfaces with an airbrush and finish with a restrained patina.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
