Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale from MiniArt represents a Russian covered goods railway wagon of the tsarist period and of World War I. The doors and the small windows can be built open or closed, the wagon has working wheels and it is complemented by a photo-etched fret and a piece of Russian gauge rail.
Covered goods wagons of this type served to carry goods, supplies, horses and soldiers. The closed body with sliding doors protected the load from the weather and also allowed people to be carried. Wagons like this were the backbone of railway transport in tsarist Russia and were widely used during World War I to supply the front. Their plain wooden construction is a rewarding subject for a modeler to weather.
On a wagon, assemble the chassis and the working wheels carefully so that it stands straight on the rail. The wooden sides come to life with underpainting and glazes that emphasize the grain of the planks; bring out the ironwork with a wash and a hint of rust. Use a thin cement on the plastic and spray the model with an airbrush over a base coat. Open doors let the wagon be filled with a load and figures.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
