The model captures the characteristic cab over the engine and the rugged running parts of a vehicle that the army and civil services use in a whole range of roles. The UAZ-3909 is an off-road van derived from the UAZ-452 family, built from the 1960s. The layout with the cab over the front axle, all-wheel drive and a simple, tough chassis proved itself in the role of an ambulance, a signals vehicle and a crew carrier in difficult terrain. High ground clearance and undemanding mechanics made the vehicle a universal machine that is still widespread in Eastern Europe today.
First assemble and paint the suspension and the chassis, and only then close up the body and the cab — once they are glued, access will be difficult. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement, apply a primer before painting and put the shades on with an airbrush. You create the patina with dark washes into the pressings and the door frames and with dust or mud pigments on the chassis and the lower parts of the fenders.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
