An injection-molded plastic kit of the modernized Russian T-72B3 main battle tank in the Mod.2016 version in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted and stands out for its high parts count. It is a more demanding build meant for more experienced modelers.
The T-72 was among the most widespread main battle tanks in the armament of the Warsaw Pact states and its development goes back to the end of the 1960s. The T-72B3 modernization brought a new fire control system, add-on armor and further changes that extended the combat value of the vehicle. The Mod.2016 version added, among other things, extended protective elements on the sides and on the turret. The tank is operated by a crew of three thanks to the automatic loader of the 125 mm gun.
Assemble and paint the running gear and the lower hull first. Apply a base coat to the model and then the main shade with an airbrush; create mud and dust effects with washes and pigments on the running gear and the lower surfaces. Fit the add-on armor and the fine parts at the end so that they are not damaged during handling.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
