Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Sd.Kfz.182 King Tiger (Tiger II) heavy tank with the so-called Porsche turret in 1:35 scale from Dragon. The model captures the characteristic rounded front wall of the early turret, the massive 88 mm gun with its long barrel and a well-worked running gear. Dragon is known for quality parts, and the model holds photo-etched extras and individual track links.
The King Tiger (Tiger II, Sd.Kfz.182) was the heaviest German series-production tank of the Second World War. It weighed around 70 tons, was protected by thick sloped armor and carried a long 88 mm gun with outstanding penetrating power. The first vehicles built received the so-called Porsche turret with a rounded front wall; only around fifty of these were made before the more common Henschel turret with a flat front replaced it. The King Tiger was feared, but heavy, slow and demanding on both fuel and maintenance.
Assemble the individual track links patiently and leave them workable so that they sag faithfully. Align the road wheels before you close the hull. Treat the surface with a primer, then spray dark yellow with the three-color camouflage using an airbrush. Bring out the engraved detail and the weld seams with washes, and add dust and mud pigments to the running gear and the lower areas.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
