Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the German heavy reconnaissance armored car in the version with a short gun, in 1:35 scale. The 234/3 version carried a short 7.5 cm gun in an open superstructure, and the gun earned the nickname Stummel, meaning stump, for its stubby look. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The 234 series was the culmination of the German heavy armored cars. The vehicle had eight driven and at the same time steered wheels, a load-bearing hull with no chassis frame and an air-cooled V12 diesel at the rear, which was an unusual combination among vehicles of the day. It could be driven from the front and from the rear alike, so it did not have to turn around in a narrow lane. The 234/3 version added direct fire support to the reconnaissance cars: the short gun in an open superstructure could destroy firing positions, but it was weak against armor.
The open superstructure means that the inside will be visible: finish and paint it before you close the assembly up. Fit the wheels only after the hull has been painted, as the tires are otherwise hard to mask. The eight wheels need to be seated so that all of them stand on the ground, so stand the model on a flat board while it dries. At the end, dust pigments on the fenders and a dark wash into the seams of the superstructure come in useful.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
