An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet light truck GAZ-AA in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. The model offers a well divided chassis with a frame, an engine, a cab and a flatbed body; separate tires and rims make painting the wheels easier. Check the exact contents of the package and the parts count against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The GAZ-AA was a licensed version of the American Ford Model AA built by the GAZ works from 1932 to 1942. It was powered by a four-cylinder engine of around 40 horsepower and reached about 70 km/h on the road. This mainstay truck of the Red Army served for supply, for carrying troops, as an ambulance and as a tanker, and in modified form it carried an anti-aircraft gun or a quadruple Maxim machine gun.
First assemble and paint the frame with the engine and the drive train, and fit the wheels only after painting. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic, and the cab glazing carefully with cement for canopies. After the base coat and the color, bring out the detail with a wash and apply dust and mud effects in pigments matching field service to the fenders, the wheels and the underside.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
