An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet T-55A medium tank in the Mod.1981 version in 1:35 scale from Miniart, in the form with a full interior. According to the manufacturer it contains a richly broken-down inside of the hull and the turret, an engine, the armament, several photo-etched frets and individual track links. It is a very complex model with many subassemblies and small parts.
The T-55 is among the most widespread tanks in history and in the T-55A version it brought improved anti-radiation protection for the crew. The modification of the early 1980s (Mod.1981) covered later production changes and additional equipment. Tanks of the T-54 and T-55 family served in dozens of armies around the world and took part in practically every conflict of the second half of the 20th century; they can still be met in active service today.
Finish and paint the full interior in sections before you close the hull and the turret; think through which hatches to open so that the inside comes into its own. Use thin cement for plastic, and glue the photo-etched parts and the individual track links with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply primer before painting and spray with an airbrush. Bring out the inside with a wash and finish the outside with filters and dust pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
